Privacy & cookies
Updated 12 October 2026
This notice explains how the Queen’s Head Hotel website uses information when you browse, contact us or follow a booking link. Contact us at bar@networkc.com.au, on 0497 179 823, or at 400 Elizabeth Street, North Hobart TAS 7000 with privacy questions.
Information you choose to provide
If you email or call us about a stay, meal or function, we use the information you provide to respond and manage your enquiry. Please avoid sending payment-card details or other sensitive information by email.
Optional website analytics
With your permission, we use Google Analytics to understand which pages people visit, how they find the website and whether they click links for accommodation, table bookings, directions or contact. A booking-link click does not tell us that a booking was completed.
Analytics can collect page and interaction information, referral information, browser and device details, approximate location and cookie identifiers. We do not deliberately send names, email addresses, telephone numbers, payment details or booking-form contents to Google Analytics. Our page-view setup removes URL query strings and fragments. Advertising personalisation and Google signals are disabled.
Our analytics tag stays off until you choose “Allow analytics”. Choosing “No thanks” leaves it off and you can still browse or book. We remember your choice in this browser for up to six months. If you allow analytics, its cookies are configured with a six-month expiry that may renew when you return.
You can change or withdraw your choice using “Cookie settings” in the website footer. Withdrawal stops future analytics collection from this browser and removes the Google Analytics cookies our website can access; it does not automatically remove information already collected. Clearing browser storage may cause us to ask again.
Google processes analytics information on its systems, which may be outside Australia. Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services and Google’s privacy policy. You can also use Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Bookings and social media
Table reservations use Now Book It and accommodation bookings use RMS. Their booking screens process information you enter under their own privacy notices and booking terms. Embedded booking screens and social content may connect to those providers and use their own cookies or similar technology. Our analytics preference controls our Google Analytics tag; it does not control separate providers’ services. Facebook, Instagram and other websites you visit through our links have their own privacy settings and policies.
Operating the website
Our hosting and website services may process technical information, such as IP addresses, browser details and server logs, to deliver, secure and maintain the site. Essential storage used for website administration or to remember your choices is separate from optional analytics.
Questions or requests
Contact us using the details above if you have a question, concern or request about personal information you have provided to the hotel. We may need enough information to identify your enquiry and verify your identity before responding. We will update this notice when the website’s information-handling practices change.
